Where would you pay money to eat out? Koffmann’s, five or six times per year (The Berkeley, Wilton Place, SW1X, the-berkeley.co.uk)

Why: first because of Pierre Koffmann. I love him, I love sharing with him his experience, the products and the cuisine. He is amazing and he can be so funny. Second because of his cuisine. It’s the best of the “bistronomique” cuisine as we say in Paris: a mix of gastronomy and bistro. Even a simple roasted chicken with the French fries in his restaurant are a monument - and they remind me so much my childhood.

What do you eat there? for sure the black pudding, and the “daube de joue de boeuf” if it is on the menu. And the roasted chicken for my girls. For the desserts, I cannot resist the lot: pistachio soufflé, Tatin tart, Rhum baba and floating islands… it’s just my childhood so I order all of them to put them in the middle of the table to share with all the guests.

Who would you take? my family, my girls. That is the perfect restaurant to celebrate something special or to spend a Sunday lunch or dinner (Sunday for me is synonymous of family). Next week, I am organising the birthday dinner of my girls’ nanny at Koffmann’s.
