Taste assessment: If this is the healthy goodie bag given to the models at London Fashion Week, God help them. The beetroot and oat bar has the same texture as a flapjack but derives none of the same pleasure — my colleague described it as “smelling like a damp bathroom that is starting to mould around the edges”. However, the art designer declared it “refreshing and cleansing but lacking in flavour”. Meanwhile, the chickpeas were filling but unexciting. The ginger, celery and beetroot juice was sweet and drinkable and the raw cacao truffles, though they looked like dung balls, did stop us craving anything sweet afterwards. It’s a shame people still think healthy food doesn’t need flavour.
