When it comes to straightforward, simple and successful skincare, few do it quite as well as Glossier.
And the brand loved by millennials everywhere has proved itself once again with its first skincare launch of 2020, the Priming Moisturiser Balance.
While the lightweight moisturiser - the perfect prelude to make-up - isn't new, Glossier has re-formulated its existing product, Priming Moisturiser, to cater to oily skin.
Speaking directly to the complaints that those with oily skin so often have (see: shiny skin and visible pores), the Priming Moisturiser Balance is infused with bamboo extract to smooth, niacinamide to reduce the appearance of pores, and willow bark extract to clarify and brighten.
Described as an "oil-control gel cream," it's unlike most other Glossier products in that it actually mattifies, rather than imparting the dewy, nonchalant glow which the brand has become renowned for cultivating.
The launch comes after the brand, which Emily Weiss founded in 2014, donated $1,000,000 to Black Lives Matter and black-owned beauty brands.
Glossier launched its original Priming Moisturiser back in 2014, after being influenced by the success of cult French product, Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré.
