Naomi makes a ?8m return

Naomi Campbell made a surprise return to the catwalk during London Fashion Week in a diamond encrusted swimsuit and sporting a £8million diamond necklace.

But as Miss Campbell dazzled onlookers, a less famous model landed the plum job of designer Alexander McQueen's 'muse'. Olivia Inge, who turned down a lucrative modelling career at 16 so she could finish her A-levels, has since graced catwalks all over the world.

Now, the 22-year-old descendant of Liberal prime minister William Gladstone will be McQueen's mannequin for his latest collection. She said: 'Modelling was never something I wanted to do, it fell into my lap. It's so superficial, judging a book by its cover. But it is great fun to be on stage and strutting your stuff.'
