Men opt for surgery at 40

They used to say that life for men starts at 40. Now, it seems, so does plastic surgery.

According to a survey, a third of men in their forties say they have resorted to plastic surgery or Botox, with British men in that age category splashing out £2billion every year on such treatments.

Dr Aric Sigman, a midlife-crisis expert, said: "Men want a sense of fulfilment. But that's difficult to achieve in a career. When they reach 40 and don't have that fulfilment, they look for other ways to achieve it."
