Matt Damon is rumoured to be buying the most expensive home in Brooklyn.
The Jason Bourne actor, seen above with his wife Luciana Barroso, is thought to be buying a six-bedroom penthouse on top of the former Standish Arms Hotel in Brooklyn Heights, listed at £12.2 million.
If he pays the asking price, the sale would beat that of a townhouse at 177 Pacific Street, which sold for £11.4 million in 2015.
It’s not the first time the A-lister has considered paying big bucks for a family home. He and his wife almost bought nearby Low Mansion, once on the market for £29.5 million.
The penthouse at The Standish comes with its own private outdoor space and fitness centre and was converted from a 1903 hotel once owned by the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
