Jack White + The Kills + Willy Moon, November 3 @ Alexandra Palace

When the former White Stripes frontman announced this rare London show, he certainly wasn’t planning to do things by halves. His musical connections (The Kills’ Alison Mosshart is also in rock outfit The Dead Weather with him) are certainly paying off, and this is set to be one hell of a show – with the chaotic feral blues from White’s solo album and The Kills’ extensive back catalogue.

Bon Iver, November 8 @ Wembley Arena

Grammy-award winning folk outfit Bon Iver bring their haunting acoustics to this vast venue as part of a European tour. The band have come a long way since frontman and founder Justin Vernon released the debut For Emma, Forever Ago independently in 2007.

Rodriguez, November 14 @ Roundhouse

If you’ve heard of docu-film Searching for Sugar Man, then you’ve heard of Rodriguez. The Mexican-American was discovered in Detroit in 1969 and hailed as the next Bob Dylan. But despite releasing albums in the early seventies to critical acclaim, he failed to capture the public’s attention and disappeared into obscurity. However, bootleg copies of his album found their way into apartheid South Africa as well as Australia, where his music struck a chord and became an instant hit. Now, after the success of the documentary, he’s back on tour.

Rolling Stones, November 25 & 29 @ O2 Arena

That's right, the oldest codgers in rock have announced two hotly-anticipated shows at the O2 Arena this November. It's the band's 50th anniversary this year, and they've already marked the occasion by recording two new tracks, One More Shot and Doom and Gloom. Provisional set lists have been leaked, and it seems you can expect to hear everything from Paint it Black and Brown Sugar to It's Only Rock 'n' Roll.

Emeli Sandé, November 11 @ Royal Albert Hall

Fresh from her moving and top-secret Olympic performances, Emeli Sandé brings her big, soulful voice to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall for one night only, in aid of the Prince’s Trust. Listen out for the hugely popular singles Next To Me, Heaven and Read All About It.

Jessie Ware, November 13 @ Electric Brixton

Mercury Music Prize-nominated Ware is on the brink of mega-fame. A year since her first single Strangest Feeling was released, her debut album Devotion has finally caught the attention of critics. Ware’s soulful voice, Jewish roots and the fact she’s signed to Island Records has immediately had her compared to Amy Winehouse, but this girl has the potential to stride her way straight to the top of the British female singer-dominated industry. Make sure you listen out for Running, Wildest Moments and 110%.

Macy Gray, November 28 @ Koko

The gravelly-voiced nineties icon is back. After six studio albums and a Grammy, Gray is trying her hand at something new: she’s performing songs from her newest release Talking Book, at take on Stevie Wonder's 1972 album. It’s sure to be a unique and one-off show, and you can expect to hear classics like Superstition and You Are The Sunshine Of My Life, as well as some of Macy’s own like the 1999 classic I Try.

Alt J, November 5 @ Electric Ballroom

Leeds graduates Alt-J have taken the British indie scene by surprise this year and are the favourites to scoop this year’s Mercury Music Prize. Hot on the heels of their numerous festival performances, the Cambridge-based boys are bringing their art rock and sharp rhythms to the capital as part of their tour for debut album An Awesome Wave.

Kindness, November 7 @ Heaven

British native Kindness – aka Adam Bainbridge – emerged in 2009 and his cover of The Replacements’ Swinging Party had the critics in a spin, earning him several ‘sound of…’ labels. He hated this, stopped doing press interviews and disappeared. Now, two years on, the former Hotpoint factory worker – who splits his time between Hackney and Berlin – has re-surfaced and his debut album, World You Need A Change Of Mind, fuses funk with dance and electro and often boasts the same shambolic vocal arrangement as LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy.

Gotye, November 12 @ Hammersmith Apollo

If you’re thinking of that song from last year, you’ve got the right guy. Somebody That I Used to Know was a massive hit on Youtube with the video viewed over 325 million times. The 32-year-old Belgian-Australian – whose real name is Wouter De Backer – was immediately compared to Peter Gabriel and Sting due to his distinctive voice. He’s actually been on the music scene since way back in 2003 when he released his debut Boardface, so if you’re going to hear that song and others from his 2011 album Making Mirrors, you’ll be in for a surprise; this guy’s got quite a back catalogue.
