The backstory: The Fountain Restaurant reinvented. Designed by interiors king Martin Brudnizki, the new look oozes elegance.
Traditional oak parquet flooring, rosewood tables and low ceilings with an Edwardian-inspired patterned bead nod to the building's history. The golden age of glamour is evoked with great service at the heart of the restaurant.
Who goes there? A smart set. Rumour has it Prince Charles is among royals who have popped in for dinner recently. Joanna Lumley and Eddie the Eagle star Taron Egerton have also made appearances, while Jimmy Carr is a confirmed fan.
What's on the menu? Lee Streeton, previously of Brown's Hotel and le Caprice, is at the helm. The roof-smoked salmon is a real treat while Spätzle with Dorset Blue Lobster and Sea Aster is a must either as a starter or main. Afters include Knickerbocker Glory or coconut rice pudding. Sip a martini at the feature bar before dinner.
Cheque out: Expect to pay upwards of £65 for a three course dinner.
