After a night of boozy debauchery, it's common practice that the Great British London public descend on the kebab shops of the capital to help ease their upcoming hangovers. Why? Because that's just the way things are.

For those of you who still have your faces glued to your tellies eagerly awaiting the next series of Great British Bake Off, stop it: a Great British Kebab Off is coming your way to fill your flaky pastry hearts with joy.

On Sunday February 11, five of London's best kebab gaffs will be battling it out to create London's ultimate doner. The rules are simple: watch it, eat it, judge it, and choose it. Whoever gets the most votes will be crowned the winner.

Everyone from meat royalty Le Bab, Yosma, Ikoyi, El Pastor and Pitt Cue Co will be competing for your hearts in a GBBO-style fight to the death.

What's on offer? No idea, but we've sneakily been told that Le Bab's will involve 'Barbecue Herdwick lamb's tongue, iskender dressing & meadow leaves, in a sheep buttermilk flatbread'. Either way, don't expect any soggy bottoms.

Tickets cost an eye-watering £45 (far cheaper than a drunken night out in Soho, though) but be comforted by the fact that you'll be putting some of the finest meat in your mouth, ever.

The Great British Bab Off will take place in two sittings on Sunday 11 February at Le Bab, Top Floor, Kingly Court, W1B 5PW. Book tickets here.
