Gah! Zombies are taking over. The undead are making a lively return as Brad Pitt's action flick World War Z hits cinemas, The Returned is scaring TV viewers and zombie-themed video game The Last of Us has players hiding behind the sofa and putting their PS3 controllers in the fridge for protection.
If you want a piece of the undead action (and who doesn’t like to smother themselves in green paint and pretend to be a flesh-eating monster from time to time?) Zombie Blitz 1940 is coming to town; an apocalyptic event held in the air-raid shelter-esque tunnels underneath Waterloo station. The night is run by the creators of the Zombie Boot Camp experience, where volunteers are either zombies or humans, engaged in a fight to the death. Bring warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. For an authentic touch of the eurgh-factor, the event invitation takes the form of a blood-splattered telegram.
