Drinking the years away: A cocktail for each year as OXO turns 20
This year marks the 20th birthday of OXO, the restaurant and bar in the OXO Tower.
To mark the occasion, it is launching a menu of 20 limited edition cocktails — one for each year.
The list starts at 1996 with the OXO Pop, a celebration of the alcopop, before moving on to the 1997 Eight Floor Smash, a vodka-based cocktail paying homage to the start of the vodka revolution.
2001 is the classic Cosmopolitan celebrating when Sex & The City brought it to the height of its popularity.
2003 was when OXO started to see gin sales rise above vodka for the first time, so that year is represented by a gin cocktail. The 2005 cocktail is the Penicillin, which was invented that year by Sam Ross from Milk & Honey.

2010 is a Negroni, marking the emergence of this cocktail as a must-have drink; and 2014 is an Espresso Martini in honour of the onset of trendy coffee shops around town.
For 2015, a Bramble represents London’s love of all things foraged.
