What’s in it? Bourbon, sweet sherry, elderflower cordial, lime, egg white and gold leaf.

Why should we try it? We love a good whiskey sour, but this one really takes things up a notch. The sweet sherry and elderflower come through ever so delicately, giving a gentle sweetness that lifts the spicy flavour of the bourbon. The lime in place of the usual lemon cuts through what can sometimes be a heavy drink to make it a hell of a lot lighter. And who doesn’t love a bit of gold? Garnished with gold leaf this drink has glam written all over it.

Where do we get it? One of Soho’s best kept secrets, this basement bar is all chesterfields, smokey mirrors and serious mood lighting. With a long sunken bar, behind which a cornucopia of eccentric ingredients hide, waiting to make that drink of yours just a little more epic. Feeling peckish?
