Thorpe Lakes Aqua Park re-opening for summer
Somewhat little-known, family friendly outdoor obstacle-course-on-water Aqua Park is re-opening this April 29, at JB Ski, next to Thorpe Park in Chertsey.
Following a successful launch last year, the tricky course will once again be open throughout the summer, from next week until October 1.
Open to children and adults alike, sessions on the course last one hour and can be booked from £15 per session with a £5 wetsuit cost – though visitors can bring their own. Showing its got plucky British spirit, the park opens come rain or shine, only pausing sessions if there’s a thunderstorm.
Away from the main course, the site also offers stand-up paddleboarding sessions and what they’ve dubbed ‘SUP Polo’ – something of a cross between paddleboarding, lacrosse and water polo.

Anyone over eight can book for a session, though children aged six to eight must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone who tackles the course is given a full safety briefing beforehand and there's plenty of spots to watch from for anyone not so keen on messing about on the water.
