The Field Day festival in Victoria Park today announced PJ Harvey is to perform when it celebrates its 10th anniversary next year.

It will mark the star’s first live UK show with a full band in six years, and the first performance of her new album, due out early next year.

PJ Harvey — the only artist to have won the Mercury Prize twice — has been recording her ninth album in front of live audiences at an art installation at Somerset House. The line-up also includes grime star Skepta; DJ, composer and producer Floating Points; Four Tet; the Thurston Moore Band and GOAT.

The festival in the east London park on June 11 and 12 will feature a Street Feast food and drink market, and plans are being drawn up for theatrical element.
