Free sweets: Half a ton of pick 'n' mix is being handed out on the Southbank next month

More than half a ton of sweets will be given away for free on the South Bank next month, handed out from a five-metre tall pick ‘n’ mix station.

From September 6-7, O2 will be handing out bags of sweet treats to passers by at Observation Point, with thousands of free 100g bags up for grabs.

Sweet toothed Londoners can pick their own selection of sweets from the massive pick ’n’ mix stand, in keeping with the communications company’s new Custom Plans concept.

All you have to do to claim your free bag is to post a picture of your sugary selection on social media, and use the hashtag #O2CustomPlans.

Be warned, fortune favours the fast, with sweets only available while stocks last.
