Pizza Pilgrims have teamed up with Chicago’s famous pizzeria, Gino’s East, to bring deep pan pizza to London for one weekend.

Those wanting a slice of the action should head to Pizza Pilgrim's West India Quay branch, where the Americans will be plating up from June 29 – July 1.

Guests will be able to tuck into two types of deep pan pizza: a Veggie Supreme with spinach, mushroom, onion and green peppers and a Meaty Legend with Italian sausage, ham, bacon and pepperoni.

Deep pan pizza isn’t commonly found in the capital, so the pop-up event is a chance for Londoners to get an authentic taste of Chicago’s famous Gino's East, which was first established back in 1966.

Tickets cost £25 but pizza at the event will be unlimited so attendees can grab as many slices as they want. They’ll also be treated to a beer courtesy of Chicago based brewers Goose Island as well as a limoncello doughnut from Crosstown Doughnuts, made using using Pizza Pilgrim’s homemade Pococello.
