Free ice cream alert: Ben & Jerry’s reveal date for annual Free Cone Day

It’s undeniable that the majority of us are Ben & Jerry’s lovers, and whether you prefer Phish Food, Cookie Dough or Chocolate Fudge Brownie, your chance to get a free cone is quickly approaching.

On April 12 Ben & Jerry’s will host their annual Free Cone Day. It’s quite self-explanatory. All you need to do is find one of their scoop shops to claim your free cone.

The initiative dates back to 1979 in Burlington, Vermont, when a petrol station turned Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop wanted to say thanks to the local community for supporting their ice cream company.

The celebration has run ever since, and last year saw Ben & Jerry’s give away over 1 million scoops of free ice cream.

Now, just make sure April 12 is in your diary.
