Royal Ascot is now well underway. A highlight of the summer season, the five-day event is the cause of much excitement for horse racing and fashion fans, alike.

Even with its strict dress code, Ladies Day is known for bringing out the best of racing season's finery - and 2019 was no different.

This year's guests seem to be favouring stylish tonal looks mostly in bold hues, like canary yellow and pillar-box red. There has also been an uptake in minimal all-white outfits.

From the get-go, a stream of elaborate hats could be seen going through the gates. And, although classic feather and mesh creations were, once again, a popular choice, summer-ready floral adornments also seem to be having a millinery moment at Ascot this year.

Ladies Day saw numerous stylish celebrities arrive at the Berkshire racecourse including Abbey Clancy, Victoria Pendleton and Natalie Dormer.

The event is also highlight in the royal calendar, with several members of the British Royal Family making an appearance over the event.

The first day alone saw the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Princesses Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall all arrive in matching blue ensembles. So we're sure there will be many more fashion highlights still to come.
