The great and the good of the silver screen hit the red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday night for the 91st Academy Awards.
The Oscars marks the grand finale of awards season, and many stars had definitely saved their sartorial best 'till last for the glitzy evening, with the Best Actress nominees giving particularly good gown game.
Lady Gaga looked every bit the classic Hollywood starlet in a custom sculptural black strapless dress by Alexander McQueen.
She accessorised the look with elbow-length black leather evening gloves and a diamond Tiffany's necklace once worn by Audrey Hepburn.

Olivia Colman, who took home the Oscar for Best Actress, also looked elegant in a bespoke Prada creation. The long, sleeveless A-line turtleneck gown in emerald green silk radzimir came with a smokey-grey silk organza cape with puffed sculpted sleeves that created a look at once feminine and powerful.
