As the sunshine finally emerges, it's time to start thinking about investing in a new pair of sunglasses.

And this season the runways decreed a variety of esoteric, eccentric shades - from 70s to sci-fi and everything in between.

2018's mantra is very much anything goes. But whatever you do, don't be tempted to play it safe.

These are the freshest new season shapes to know:

1. Teeny tiny

2. Wraparound, Sporty

3. Tinted Lenses
