Scarlett Moffatt has proved week after week that she’s one of the funniest contributors to Channel 4’s hit show Gogglebox, and it seems to be working out well for her.
Not only is she now a presenter on Metro Radio in Newcastle, but she’s just announced her own book – and she’s also branching out into other TV shows.
Moffatt appears in the latest episode of Virtually Famous, E4’s panel show about people’s internet habits – and the TV star shared a few of her own.
Scarlett reveals that her time online often involves tracking down conspiracy theories on a forum with her dad.
“I’m a proper Googler,” she admits. “Just stuff about aliens and mermaids and stuff.”
Despite fellow Geordie Chris Ramsay’s insistence that extra-terrestrials and mythical sea creatures aren’t real, Moffatt isn’t having any of it.

“No right, this is what people want you to think,” she explains, delving into her theory that it’s all a government cover-up.
If you think that’s daft, wait until she starts talking about the possibility of reverse-mermaids – i.e fish heads with human legs.
