Former Great British Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc has admitted that she doesn’t watch the show now that it’s into its second series on Channel 4.

Giedroyc and comedy partner Sue Perkins parted ways with the famous white tent when Love Productions moved the programme away from the BBC.

The duo were replaced by Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig, with Prue Leith taking over from Mary Berry as a judge alongside Paul Hollywood.

Giedroyc has now admitted she hasn’t tuned in to watch the baking show and doesn’t regret her decision to walk away in the wake of the channel switch, telling Jonathan Ross: “Not at all.”

Asked if she watches the new series she replied: “No I haven’t. I feel bad!”

The comedian also joked that former judge Berry used to “sleep in her false eyelashes” to make sure she was ready for filming.

Giedroyc told the host: “She had her makeup on then she would often keep it on for the next day, she’d keep her eyelashes on certainly.

Last week saw the return of Bake Off as twelve amateurs tried their hands at biscuit week before Imelda was given the boot following her underwhelming performance .
