Josh O’Connor has been tipped to play a young Prince Charles in Netflix hit, The Crown.
The Durrells actor is reportedly set to appear alongside Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret and Olivia Colman as the Queen in the third series of the royal show.
The third season is expected to cover the years of 1964-1970, when Prince Charles was between the ages of 16 and 22.
The news comes after the show came under fire when it was revealed that actress Claire Foy, who played leading role Queen Elizabeth II in the hit Netflix drama, was paid a lower wage than Matt Smith who portrayed Prince Phillip.

Foy reportedly earned £29,000 per episode across two seasons, suggesting that Smith was paid £10,000 more than her per episode.
