Honey G was branded "talentless" by Good Morning Britain viewers who were less than impressed to see her on the breakfast show.

The aspiring rap artist – real name Anna Gilford – was invited on to plug her new single The Honey G Show, but faced a barrage of abuse online.

Clad in her trademark cap and sunglasses, she made a grand entrance from backstage rapping the lyrics to Missy Elliott's Get Your Freak On.

Her appearance angered some viewers who begged ITV to stop giving the “talentless” act “air time”.

One viewer tweeted: "Way to early in the morning for this f***** #HoneyG time to turn this off #GMB."

The North Weezy resident may be struggling to win over the public – but she has found a huge fan in music mogul Simon Cowell.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Honey G said: “The official offer from Syco came through over the last week. So I'm really happy with that. I'm happy Simon is backing me. We're all really good friends.

“I saw Simon after Saturday night and said thanks for getting me a record deal and I asked him if he likes the single and he said ‘I love it.’”

The Honey G Show is out on December 23.
