BBC One social experiment Child of Our Time is back, 17 years after it first launched in 2000.
Hosted by Professor Robert Winston, the eleventh series of the show follows the group of 25 children as they navigate the highs and lows of teenage life.
In two brand new episodes of the show, we get a new insight into the lives of the 16-year-olds, who were first filmed when they were newborn babies.

Where are they now?
The last time we saw the children was back in 2013 in hour-long episodes Growing Up and Changing Families.
They are now all 16 years old and have dealt with a range of issues including family divorce, bullying and sexual identity.
“These teenagers are showing a great deal more maturity than people of that age would have done when I was their age. They handle complex issues very well,” said Prof Winston.

What does it focus on?
The new episodes will deal with the impacts of social media and technology on the teenagers.
“The basic characteristics of teenagers haven’t changed much with iPhones and social media,” said Winston.
School life, friendships and early romantic relationships are also explored in the new episodes.
When is it on?
Child of Our Time is on April 3 and 4 at 9pm, BBC1.
