Former EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood was forced to leave the soap in 2015 when a video surfaced in which he appeared to be smoking cannabis.

Currently starring in Celebrity Big Brother, Norwood opened up about his departure from the show, revealing his ‘deep depression’.

“There was a particular female that sold me out,” he explained to fellow housemate Renee Graziano.

“I went into deep depression, I didn’t want to leave my house. I got suspended from my job for two months; I held my hands up.

“When it came to the end of the contract, it was end of the contract. Normally I’d get a renewal…

“I was happy… I was only supposed to be there for three months, I was there just under six years.”

Norwood played Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubb in the show, originally starring in the teen online spin-off E20 before becoming a regular fixture on the main show. The character was killed off-screen.
