Love Island’s resident doctor may be on the end of yet another flatlining romance after confessing that he is “having doubts” about Alexandra Cane.

After becoming arguably the unluckiest contestant the villa has ever seen, Dr Alex George looked like he had finally found his match when Alexandra walked in and immediately took a shine to him.

Over the past few episodes, the pair have been cuddling in bed and kissing in full view of their fellow islanders, even bonding over cars. But in scenes to be shown on Tuesday night it seems that the honeymoon period may be well and truly over.

Asked by Sam how he feels about his girl, Dr Alex admits: “We’re doing well day-by-day and we’re growing as a pair but like it’s just so early.

“I don’t know if I have as strong of feelings as she does but I don’t know. At the moment I’m having doubts.”

In a secret chat with the Beach Hut, Dr Alex says: “The new girls have come in, Laura in particular seems really nice, she’s blonde, blue eyes, she’s natural looking, she loves swimming, loves the sea, we spent a bit of time together this morning, had a chat.

“She is the kind of girl that’s quite similar to what my type would be.”

But Dr Alex need not worry about having to be the heartbreaker as it appears Alexandra has noticed her beau’s changing feelings.

“I just don’t think it’s going to work out.”

Meanwhile, air hostess Laura and new Jack have hit the rocks again with new Jack stumbling over whether the pair really are suited.
