St Thomas’ Hospital is not a regular stop for London’s art lovers — but that might change after acclaimed artist Tacita Dean donated a series of works in thanks for saving her mother’s life.
Dean, 53, gave 14 handmade prints to the hospital near Waterloo.
The prints, which are exhibited on the first floor, are based on a series of still images from her work FILM which was shown at Tate Modern in 2011.
Her mother Jenefer Dean had a heart attack in the gallery and recovered after being cared for in St Thomas’.
