Lovebox has been forced to postpone its 2020 edition — but has already announced its dates for 2021.
The Gunnersbury Park festival was set to host its biggest ever party this June, expanding to three days, but is now the latest London event to postpone amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
In a statement, festival organisers said: “We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and it has become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead.”
Tyler, The Creator, Disclosure, Robyn and Khalid were among the acts due to head to west London for Lovebox.
Organisers added that the festival would “be back stronger than ever” in 2021 for another three-day festival running from June 11-13.
Ticket-holders will be contacted about refunds. Anyone who has a ticket for 2020 and wishes to attend in 2021 will be able to do so.
On Friday morning, another major London festival, All Points East, postponed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. It follows a similar fate for Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Download and many others.
