We welcome the announcement that the Government has approved the new Holocaust memorial to be built next to Parliament in Victoria Tower Gardens.
It is a fitting location for such a memorial, directly adjacent to the seat of British democracy. It must serve not only as a reminder of the horrors of the Holocaust, and the six million Jewish people murdered, but also where hatred and dehumanisation can ultimately lead.
