Construction starts on next phase of Tottenham Hale new homes development

Construction has started on the next phase of a major new residential development in Tottenham Hale, in a vote of confidence in the London housing market post-Covid.

Property firm Argent Related said it has appointed HG Construction as the main contractor for the new North Island building which will comprise 136 new homes, including 80 shared ownership ones.

It forms part of a wider £500 million development featuring over 1000 homes, private, affordable and rental, shops, office space and a health centre.

The project is being undertaken by Argent Related, the development company which combines Argent, the King’s Cross developer, and US property company Related.

Tom Goodall, partner at Argent Related, said: “As  the vaccination programme thankfully begins to return our country to a new state of normality, many are anticipating a pent-up demand in the housing market in 2021 as restrictions ease and many Londoners begin to reconsider their priorities for their home.”
