Passport to savings
If you’re going to need a new passport this year, apply before March 27 even if the current one doesn’t expire until months after that. That way, you will beat a price increase — passport costs are climbing on that date to £75.70 online and £85 for postal applications.
While the online price is only increasing by £3, the postal charge is jumping £12.50. Crucially, when you renew, the time left on your existing passport is added to your new one, up to a total of nine months.
Love is the Superdrug
Superdrug is hoping to attract lovers into its stores in the next week or so with a range of Valentine’s Day-related star buys. Among other offers from February 7, Calvin Klein Eternity Woman is down from £68 to £33 while Lacoste Noir has been cut from £70 to £35.
The Perfume Shop has also got a range of Valentine offers. For example, Vera Wang Princess is down from £60 to £24.99 while CKIN2U for him has been reduced from £50 to £22.99.
Free chocs or card
If you sign up to money-saving website TopCashback.co.uk in the next few days, you can get a free continental chocolates parcel worth £15 from Thorntons or a free personalised Valentine’s card worth £10 from Marks & Spencer.
The chocolates offer is only available until February 14 while the card deal runs until February 11.
