The firm behind high street brands including Topshop and Dorothy Perkins collapsed in November, putting 13000 jobs at risk. At that point it had 444 leased stores in the UK. It ts among retail firms that were hit hard by the pandemic, with ‘non-essential’ shops having to close at various points in 2020 for lockdowns.Deloitte, administrators to Arcadia, have sold the Evans fashion brand, and the rest of the firm is being auctioned. The deadline for bids was yesterday, it is understood.It has now emerged there are 31 stores that will close by the end of January resulting in 714 redundancies.
