Electra said the review could take until the autumn. In the meantime, Barker is heading the hunt for a new full-time chairman who is then expected to play the lead role in that review.
It is understood that a list of potential candidates has been drawn up and interviews should happen shortly.
Part of the strategy review will include re-examining Electra Private Equity’s relationship with its investment manager Electra Partners chaired by Hugh Mumford and run by managing partner Alex Fortescue.
