However, net operating profit fell from £271 million to £260 million in 2014, as the company invested £438 million last year in opening new UK stores and a distribution centres.
Aldi currently has 598 UK stores and plans to have a 1000 by 2022.
The privately-owned business said it had created 7,000 jobs and paid £57.9 million of tax in 2014.
Aldi has been the fastest growing grocer for the last 50 months, according to Kantar Worldpanel figures.
