Year in review: Five British actors to watch out for in 2016

2015 was a good year for cinema, with British stars standing out with their impressive performances, making them the most promising actors to watch out for in 2016.

First up is Natalie Dormer, who appeared in Game of Thrones before going on to star as Cressida in the Hunger Games franchise.

2015 saw Olivia Cooke bag her first female lead in the critically acclaimed film, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, alongside The Walkking Dead's John Bernthal.

Welsh actor Taron Egerton starred alongside Colin Firth in Kingsman: The Secret Service but will take the lead in the sequel.

New Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, showcased British talent by catapulting Londoner's John Boyega and Daisy Ridley into the spotlight.

Boyega and Ridley played Finn and Rey in the seventh instalment in the franchise alongside veteran actors Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. They will reprise their galactic roles in January as they start filming for the eighth episode.
