Arthur Fery continues his remarkable run at Wimbledon today, facing ninth seed Flavio Cobolli in the men’s quarter-finals.
Fery, 23, had to qualify for Wimbledon but has gone on a fairytale run, most recently beating Grigor Dimitrov in a five-set epic.
He had previously got the better of Belgium’s Zizou Bergs, Finland’s Otto Virtanen, and Bosnia’s Damir Dzumhur.
The only British person still standing in the men’s or women’s singles brackets, Fery, ranked 114th in the world, is now carrying the hopes of a nation.
Should he progress this afternoon, he will face one of Taylor Fritz or Alexander Zverev in the semi-final, with those players seeded sixth and second, respectively. They face off on No1 court earlier in the day.
