Knights finally clip Eagle's wings

London Knights eventually got the better of Ayr Scottish Eagles netminder Joaquin Gage to beat the Superleague leaders 4-3 at the London Arena last night.

Ayr had taken the lead in the first minute, but London comfortably outshot the Scots 41 to 26 throughout the game and it was only great goaltending from Gage that kept the visitors in the game. Assistant coach Paul Rushforth scored the winner six minutes from time.

London head coach Bob Leslie hopes to sign another defenceman by the end of the week.
