Broad has suffered a calf injury during a warm-up second on Tuesday and will take no further part in the series, of which the second Test starts on Thursday. Saqib Mahmood of Lancashire has been called up as a replacement.An ECB statement read: “Stuart Broad has sustained a tear to his right calf and has been ruled out of the LV= Insurance Test series against India.“He underwent an MRI scan in London on Wednesday lunchtime, which revealed a tear.
