European royalty was mixing with sporting royalty at Wimbledon on Day 7 of The Championships.

King Frederik X of Denmark was all-smiles as he took his seat in Centre Court on Sunday afternoon.

The 58-year-old was surrounded by sporting legends both on and off the court.

Other VIPs in the royal box included retired track-and-field legends Paula Radcliffe, Dame Kelly Holmes, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Jonathan Edwards.

Other big names from the world of sport in the royal box included legendary England fast bowler Sir James Anderson and rugby star Rosie Galligan.

They were among the crowd on Centre Court to see Novak Djokavic continue his quest to win an eighth Wimbledon single’s title.

That was being followed by number one seed Aryna Sabalenka against Naomi Osaka in one of the most eagerly-awaited women’s singles matches so far.

The third scheduled match sees world number one Jannik Sinner against Shintaro Mochizuki.
