For two years he helped console her in the aftermath of her devastating break- up with Jude Law.

Now it seems Sadie Frost is finding more than enough comfort in her £6million divorce settlement.

Within weeks of her new fortune coming through, she has dumped Jackson Scott, the younger lover who has been at her side through her darkest days.

Sources close to Miss Frost said she had decided to 'turn over a new leaf' after winning her settlement from Law, which included a £4million property and £15,000 a month.

And the new leaf won't have any room for the 24-year-old musician, who was there for the battle but won't share the rewards.

'Sadie is 40 with four children and Jackson is 24 and they are at very different stages in their lives,' said a source close to Miss Frost.

'This settlement means that Sadie can start life again and unfortunately she did not want Jackson to be part of her future.

'Although she loves him very much they want different things out of life.

'Sadie is very busy with her fashion line Frost French and she is also writing a book about babies - while Jackson is really just starting out.

'They are going to try and stay friends as there is a great deal of affection between them.

'But she has already invited her friend Kate Moss - who is also newly single after splitting with Pete Doherty - to go on holiday to Ibiza with her in Jackson's place.'

A spokesman for Miss Frost said: 'I can confirm that Sadie and Jackson have agreed to take some time out of their relationship. 'The split is amicable and they remain in close contact.' Miss Frost's break up with her boyfriend, which happened last Thursday, came as Law, the father of three of her children, also contemplates single life.

His relationship with actress Sienna Miller, 23, was shattered when nanny Daisy Wright, who was caring for his children, told of a torrid affair with the actor while he was filming in the U.S.

A devastated Miss Miller removed her engagement ring, leading to questions about whether their wedding will go ahead.

Over the past few weeks Law, 32, has frantically tried to convince her to take him back. Sources say he is trying to blame her for his behaviour and has been telling her that he wants a wife who will put him first.

Which makes the person he is said to have been confiding in an intriguing choice.

Law is said to have been commiserating with Miss Frost over the problems in their respective love lives.

'They are both going through a difficult time and have been on the phone quite a lot over the last few days,' said a source close to Miss Frost.

'Following their settlement they have become much more relaxed with each other and they have been giving each other advice.'

Miss Frost is also said to have been keen to offer guidance to Miss Miller, who is believed to be heartbroken at Law's unfaithfulness.

'I just want to say publicly that I feel for her. I feel very sorry for her.

'I think she is young and has a great career ahead of her - but I do feel very sorry for her,' she said after the story became public.

'This is not my crisis, thank God. My life has moved on - I have my kids and my own life to live.

'If she phones me I'll have a long chat with her.

'I can only give her advice if she asks for it really,' she said.
