Peter Andre has dismissed any chance of the Strictly Come Dancing curse plaguing his marriage.

The 42-year-old singer - who is paired with professional dancer Janette Manrara - said he is "absolutely besotted" with his wife of nearly three months, Emily MacDonagh, and wouldn't do anything to jeopardise that.

"Emily doesn’t need reassuring – she’s so not the jealous type," he told OK.

"I’m absolutely besotted with her, she’s the love of my life and she knows I’d never do anything to jeopardise our wonderful relationship. Ems is my best friend."

Emily, 25, added: "It’s crazy that people keep asking if I think Pete will cheat on me on Strictly. We’re completely in love."

Andre - who has daughter Amelia with Emily - last week topped the Stictly leaderboard with his cha-cha to Ain't No Other Man.

Speaking about working with Manrara he said: "Janette’s the greatest teacher, she’s awesome.

"She’s tough in a very kind way. She’s always telling me to practice again but we do have a right laugh."

The pair may be having a laugh, but Emily is finding it nerve wracking watching her husband perform.

"Emily’s so nervous for me she can’t even watch me live," Andre said. "I guess she knows I can be a klutz sometimes!"
