The waterspout then moved towards a local pub, where it gave drinkers quite the shock.
Amy Youngs, manager of The Kitchen @ Thorpeness, told The Mirror: “It was muggy and stormy yesterday and we had all sorts of weather, but we’ve never seen a tornado over Suffolk before. We were stunned.”
Suffolk was not the only place in the south of England to experience an unusual weather phenomenon, as a funnel cloud was also seen over Kent yesterday.
