In Pictures: Facelift for Toyota GT86

A facelifted version of the Toyota GT86 will go on sale next month. This gains a revised front bumper and LED headlamps as well as tweaks to its aerodynamic performance.

There’s a lot of tweaking going on, in fact. The 2.0-litre boxer engine remains as before, but its induction and exhaust systems have been tuned for a smoother output. There’s no change to the actual figures, so you’re still getting 197bhp and a 7.6-second sprint time, but it ought to come in a more user-friendly way.

The same can be said of the GT86’s handling. They’ve not messed with what’s good about it, but the chassis has been revised to allow greater stability and more suppleness to the way it rides.
