Hipsters are now covering their bristly beards in flowers for spring
Men of Instagram, forget the tiny beard baubles and glitter beards of the past, because there’s a new hirsute trend doing the rounds on social media, and it’s the perfect way to welcome in spring.
Seemingly kickstarted on Instagram, the bizarre grooming fad ‘flowerbeard’ is seeing hipster men gently weave delicate flowers into the wiry tendrils of their thick, lustrous beards.
Once completed, the effect is such of carrying a bouquet of fresh spring flowers in your facial hair.

Bearded users have been taking to Instagram this week to share their crafty arrangements using the hashtag #flowerbeard, to both the delight and derision of fellow users.
And while many of the beards look better than anything we could ever grow in the garden, we can’t help thinking how impractical this would be while attempting to eat, drink or leave the house without leaving a trail of daisies in your wake.
Still, if you’re one of the many space-poor Londoners with no garden to grow some daffodils, this may just be the easiest and cheapest way for you to embrace some warm weather cheer.
