My cottage in Kent. I grew up around that area so it's always been home.

Where do you stay in London?
Blakes hotel in South Kensington. It's owned by a friend so I get a good rate and the bar does excellent espresso Martinis.

What advice would you give to a tourist coming to London?
Go on a pub crawl around Borough Market and stop off for oysters at Wright Brothers.

What's the first thing you do when you arrive back in London?
I ask my driver Alan what the weather's been like and then head home to Kent.

Which is your favourite shopping street?
Columbia Road for the flower market. You can get great cheap roses.

Who's your hero?
Currently Boris Johnson with his broom in Clapham, cleaning up the riot mess.

What's the best meal you've had?
The tuna Niçoise salad at La Petite Maison on Brook's Mews, W1.

What's the most romantic thing someone's done for you?
Last winter my boyfriend Thom [Evans] snuck into my hotel room and put an extra blanket on my bed so that when I got in from work my bed was all warm.

What's your earliest London memory?
Feeding the pigeons in Trafalgar Square with my dad when I was six.

What are your favourite London discoveries?
Cox Cookies & Cake in Soho. I bought cupcakes there for Thom's birthday that had little torsos with six-packs and muscley arms on them. I think they were made with gay men in mind but they suit rugby players pretty well too.

Do you have a recurring dream?
That I'm following a long stream in the countryside knowing that there's a waterfall at the end. I never get there though, which is a bit sad.

How would you like the opening line of your obituary to read?
'Mrs Thom Evans was a' That's a hint to my boyfriend.

What animal would you like to be?
I'm not sure it's true, but I've been told I'm a cougar.

Which shops do you rely on?
For vintage clothes and unique pieces of furniture I go to Alfies Antique Market in Marylebone. I love the red velvet cake at the Hummingbird Bakery in Notting Hill and I go to Anthropologie for fantastic homeware and bits for my kitchen. I've also discovered a fantastic bike boutique called Luv Handles on Bolingbroke Grove in Wandsworth for bike accessories and gorgeous vintage bikes.

What are your biggest extravagances?
My gardener and my driver.

If you could live in any building in London which would it be?
The Savoy, so that I could have afternoon tea there every day.

What would you do as Mayor of London for the day?
Ban cars and make everyone ride around on bikes.
