X Factor 2015: One Direction to return as contestants prepare for third double elimination

One Direction will return to the stage where it all began as they perform on the X Factor this weekend.

The world famous boy band found fame on the show after mentor Nicole Scherzinger grouped Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and former member Zayn Malik together in 2010.

But for two contestants a taste of that fame will be short lived as the remaining nine hopefuls will be singing to survive a third double eviction – which last week saw Kiera Weathers and Seann Miley-Moore booted out of the competition.

Earlier this week it was reported that Rita Ora’s hopeful Lauren Murray had walked out of the X Factor mansion following Sunday night’s eliminations.

She was also too upset to feature on the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor.

Weathers told the Liverpool Echo: "She’s packed her stuff. She told me she’s left the house because she was upset but she’s still in the competition."
