X Factor 2015: Jake Quickenden’s verdict on Rita Ora's Six Chair Challenge

So it's started! One of the most gut-wrenching parts of the X Factor audition process. I still shake a bit when I think back to my Six Chair Challenge experience. It's like a gladiator's arena with people shouting and you're never sure if you've done enough because someone else could easily blow it out of the water and you'll have to give up your seat.

I remember Cheryl sticking up for me and saying she appreciated the honesty in my performance. There have been stories reporting that I said she should be sacked, but that's not the case at all! Cheryl's got a wealth of experience so don't underestimate her, and she's always honest with you.

I don't envy Rita for going first. Not only is this her first time, but she's got a bunch of wicked singers, which makes it really hard to critique.

My favourite is Monica Michael. I'm rooting for this girl. She was there last year and I was gutted when she didn't get a seat. Just like me, she's had to pick up her confidence to audition again, which is a massive deal because you'll always have that playing at the back of your mind ('what if they say no again?'). She killed it this time vocally and she even brought a little swagger to her performance which the audience clearly loved!

Havva Rebke is cool. She's got so much potential in her - I love a performer who can sing and rap. She can bring that mix of pop with something edgy. I really hope she makes it to the live shows. She could be the UK's own little Becky G.
