Vampyr is set for release next year, so there is plenty of time for elements to develop fully. First impressions, although encouraging, hint at a game perhaps stuck in the middle of Remember Me and Life Is Strange - borrowing the lacklustre combat of the former with the tight character-driven narrative of the latter.
As the demo drew to a close, I couldn't help but think the combat really wasn't needed. Come 2017 we'll see if that remains the case.
