Apple Event September 2015: new iPad Pro unveiled – in pictures

Apple have just revealed the iPad Pro at their Event in San Francisco.

This is the biggest version of the tech giant’s tablet so far, with a 78% larger screen than the original 2010 iPad. It also has the highest definition iPad screen, with 5.6 million pixels crammed into a 12.9” display. iPad Pro is almost as thin as the iPad Air at 6.9mm, and weighs just 1.57lb.

iPad Pro increases functionality of the device allowing users to run more than one app at a time in split-screen, thanks to the increased display size.

New accessories have also been developed to appeal to business users, including the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil stylus.

Microsoft software such as PowerPoint is available to use on iPad Pro, as well as Adobe software, as featured in demonstrations on-stage at the Apple Event.
